Landscape Design

Kathy’s initial visit is free because this is when she finds out the scope of the project and what the needs are in regards to the landscaping. She designs everything on the outside of the house, plantings, patios, decks, pools, water features natural or formal, fire pits, arbors, etc. After Kathy has met with you, she can give you an estimate for the design. This is based on an hourly rate for the number of hours that she thinks will take to do the job. If you are in agreement with the fee, she then moves to start the design process after a small deposit.

Kathy works several ways. She can do elevation drawings on tissue over photos of your house. Quantity of plants and botanical name will be on the drawing so you will know what to get. This is a cheaper way to go but not quite as accurate. The other way she works is to do a full plan with elevation drawings. She finds the drawings help you visualize what the landscape will look like. The full plan can be used by yourself to install on your own, or be given to a contractor to install. Kathy has several companies that she works with and can arrange for the job to move forward and get into the ground.

She charges a reduced hourly fee to lay out bed shapes, place plants or work with a contractor. This makes it more affordable and the design will more closely match her ideas.

Painting and Art Design

Currently all of the paintings are sold through her. You will be charged for the painting and the additional cost of shipping the painting to your location. Work will not be shipped until payment has been received. Some paintings are available as Giclees in limited additions. These are based on size and material printed on. Giclees use archival ink and will hold their color for 150 years.
